I often wonder when the invitation to come unto Christ is extended to me, if I have the heart of a shepherd. When given the opportunity to turn to the scriptures, to pray, to learn more of Him, how often is my response now and with haste? This scripture reminds me of the importance of desire. If our hearts are filled with desire to come closer to Christ, it will motivate our actions for good. (Celebrating A Christ-Centered Christmas, pp. 58-59).
